This project is made in several stages; this is the overview:

Make the Baby Unicorn 'embeds':
Make the Baby Unicorn embeds - you need 7 Baby Unicorn embeds per batch (around 70g per pour).
Make the 'overpour batch' - you use this for the main part of the bar
Melt 360g of soap base, add a touch of sparkly mica or glitter if using clear, or leave white or colour pastel if using white base
Pour the base layer:
Fill each cavity two thirds full with scented soap.  Approximately 40g soap base per cavity.
Add the unicorn embed
Pour the top layer around the baby unicorn:

Method:

Stage One: Make the Baby Unicorn Embeds

Place approximately 70g of diced soap into a jug.
Melt in VERY short bursts in the microwave; it doesn't take long, a few seconds, do not boil.
Stir in some shaved colour block pieces to colour to desired shade.
Carefully pour into the Baby Unicorn Embed mould and set aside.
Allow to set completely.

Stage Two: Make the overpour batch

Using a clear jug, place approximately 360g of diced soap into the jug.
Cover with a piece of card, or paper towel.
Melt in short bursts in the microwave until liquid.

Do not add colour unless you wish to have coloured soap or are using white base and want pastel soaps!
Now scent this soap with approximately 5 to 8g/ml (half to three quarters of one small bottle) of supplied Fragrance and stir well to combine.
Spritz with Isopropyl Alcohol if required to remove surface bubbles.

If using clear soap base, add a sprinkle of sparkle and stir through the soap.
Note: Too much sparkle will mean less transparent soaps!
Glitter or sparkle in white soap base will not show to advantage.

Now it’s time to pour!

You can 'eyeball' the pour - fill each cavity two thirds full with the scented soap.

Spritz immediately with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any surface bubbles.
Allow to set up until it has a leathery feel when gently pressed with your fingertip.

Cover and set the jug aside with the remaining soap.

Now, the Baby Unicorns should be ready to unmould.
Carefully unmould these and set aside near the mould.

Instructions for the Second Pour

Use the same method as described above to re-melt the clear soap base as this will have set up in the jug.

Apply a generous spray of Isopropyl Alcohol to the back of the Baby Unicorn soaps and the surface of the set
soap and place a baby unicorn in each cavity.

Check the soap is still liquid and ready to pour, and spritz with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove surface bubbles (yes again).
If the Isopropyl Alcohol has dried on the surface of the soaps, respray.
Now carefully pour the remaining soap around each of the unicorns and spray again.
Allow to set up until cold.

Peel back the silicone mould to remove.
Do not pull on the unicorns to unmould.
If they are not being gifted or sealed immediately, store in an airtight container until ready to bag.
