Our Botanical Complex 7 is a blend of 7 herbal plant extracts, is EcoCert and has been clinically tested to ensure its efficacy. Evidence supporting the beneficial use of botanical ingredients is increasing every year, and pumping up product bases is a natural progression to keeping skin care as natural as possible whilst still offering a host of benefits.
Botanical Complex 7 targets inflammation and irritated skin (please check the manufacturer’s documentation link for this information on the clinical trial findings). This herbal blend can be added to pre-made bases, liquid soaps and shampoos, as well as your own formulations.
The benefits of this extract blend are many, including decreased TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss) and therefore increased skin hydration and a soothing effect on the skin. The properties of the combined herbal extracts are: Anti-Inflammatory, anti-oxidant, skin soothing and moisturisation.
Usage Rate: 1 – 5% (2% is recommended. ie 2g in 98g lotion)

To use during manufacturing: Add to the formulation when the temperature is below 55°C, or during final phase
To include in a pre-made base: If warming the base, add to the product at around 20°C, if cold processing can be added at any time. (Note if bases are overheated the preservation system may become unstable, and the product may need to have a top up of preservative.
