Products you need to make this recipe

Do you have one or more of these ingredients already? No Problem! Choose only what you need and the total price will adjust accordingly.

Treat your pooch to a lovely, handmade soap bath!  We always make our dog soap uncoloured, and use a maximum of 1% Essential Oil blend in our recipe. You can also make it without any Essential Oils, which is absolutely fine.

We use Sodium Lactate Plus in our recipe, but you can of course make it without this. We like the added hardness and also the moisturising qualities, and it keeps it natural.

This soap loaf recipe makes a little more than what fits in our Flexible Mould - Loaf (Regular), so it's best to have a couple of smaller cavity moulds close by for the overflow.  You can also pour into our Flexible Mould - 12 Bar Square, or Flexible Mould - 12 Bar Rectangle

Decorate the rectangular bars with our Paw Print Soap Stamp.

If you are a beginner, stop!   For how to make soap from Scratch, please see our Cold Process Soapmaking Instructions.  You can also watch Soap Queen's You Tube Series on Cold Process Soapmaking.

If you are a beginner, choose the higher quantity of Distilled Water.

  • Combine oils and lye water, Sodium Lactate Plus and bring to medium trace.
  • Add the Essential Oils and combine well, using the mixing to increase the trace if necessary.
  • Insulate to encourage an even, hot gel.
  • Unmould after a few days.
  • Cut and allow to cure for 6 to 8 weeks.
