Butter Easy (Sunflower Cosmetic Wax) is a natural structuring agent and effective emollient made from pure sunflower oil. It is excellent in a simple oil and wax formula, turning, for instance, Fractionated Coconut Oil into a thick, creamy moisturiser. It is a useful thickener in high oil content formulations.
We have trialled this lovely ingredient with Fractionated Coconut Oil, Jojoba and Shea Butter, to increase the thickness and to keep the graininess from the Shea Butter at bay. The best way to combat shea graininess is to place the filled lip pots or jars straight into the fridge or freezer once filled. The Fractionated Coconut Oil "Butter" was quite impressive, and can also be used as a stand alone product, or with additives such as actives, essential oils or fragrance.
