Dye, Malibu Pink Liquid

$4.00

SKU: DLMP

NEW

A bright, vibrant pink, without a doubt! In white soap gives a lovely baby pink colour.  This colour will migrate somewhat in Melt and Pour Soap (bleed) so bear this in mind when planning your soap.

Quantities of colour in the picture above from left to right: 5 drops into 100g Clear MP, 5 drops into 100g White MP and 1 drop of this colour in 1 tablespoon of Fine Sea Salt - this is a very intense colour, so use less for really pastel tones!

Product Suitability:

Melt & Pour Soap - Yes, see note below
Cold Processed Soap - Yes, see note below
Liquid Soap & Shampoo- Yes - we recommend a trial batch
Cosmetics including Eye area - Yes
Water Based Lip Products - Fair miscibility - we recommend a trial batch
Oil & Wax Based Lip Products - No
This Colour is a: Liquid Lake Dye (D & C)
Liquid Dyes are not suitable for Oil based products
Suitable for Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars and Bath Salts
Our colours are concentrated, we recommend diluting in distilled water or glycerine for Bath Fizzies or Salts. This makes it easier to see the depth of colour and avoid over colouring the product.  Read How to Avoid Colour Bombing your Bath!

Our Test Results:

Produces a bright almost neon pink colour at full stength and a less intense tone at low concentration. Clear MP and transparent soap will remain transparent with this colour, and when used in White Soap Base or CP the colour will be pastel pink.
pH sensitivity: Stable in high pH products
Colour Fading: This colour is somewhat light sensitive and will fade over time
Colour Bleeding (Migration): This colour will bleed and migrate in MP and to a lesser degree in CP Soap
Recent tests have shown that Malibu Pink occasionally "speckles" in MP and CP Soap, not always though!  To prevent this from occurring add a little Isopropyl Alcohol with the colour which will dissolve any unseen tinsy specks before you mix into your soap.
