These Soapy Snowflakes have been made using Stephenson's Crystal Oatmeal and Shea Soap Base, and some left over pieces of transparent soap base for the shimmery blue detailed layers. The opaque (paler blue) top is made using the Oatmeal Shea Base.  You can select any Melt and Pour Soap Base you prefer!

Instructions for making 8 soaps with both the clear blue soap base snowflakes layered tops and the pastel blue tops, you can choose which one you prefer - If you pour ½ - 1 cm from the rim and make smaller soaps and just purchase 1kg of Crystal Oatmeal and Shea Soap Base.  If you purchase the extra 1kg of ST Clear Soap Base (as per the trolley), you can make another 8 soaps.

Snowflake Melt and Pour Soap Ideas

Instructions:

Set up equipment, moulds and dice soap bases, placing the clear soap into a small jug.

Snowflake Melt and Pour Soap Ideas

Heat the small jug with some of the white soap base in the microwave in short bursts of 20 seconds until it has melted.
Remove from the heat stir and then add fragrance and stir well to combine.
This soap has oatmeal in it so the cooler you pour the better it is to keep the oatmeal particles suspended. I poured at between 50 – 60°C
Spritz with alcohol to remove surface bubbles.
Add a few drops of Blue Dispersion Liquid Colour (if using) and stir to combine.  You could use the Mica instead.

Heat the small jug with some of the clear soap base in the microwave in short bursts of 20 seconds until it has melted.
Stir to ensure there are no lumps, and then add ¼ teaspoon Egyptian Blue Mica to the melted base.
Carefully stir this in and look out for dry spots – if you do have dry spots a quick spritz with Isopropyl Alcohol will dissipate them immediately.
Remove from the heat stir and then add fragrance and stir well to combine.
