Though I love my flavoured and sweetened Lip Balms, sometimes when my lips are really dry and sore I want something without flavour I can apply frequently but doesn't taste "waxy".  Our Nourishing (Vegan) Lip Base is where I go!, though both our bases glide on nicely.

If you would like a little scent or flavour, of course you are welcome to add Lip Flavour and Sweetener to taste! (There is some Sweet Lips Sweetener included in the trolley items)

The following instructions can of course be used for our Premium Lip Balm Base as well.

What you need:

Optional:

Flavour and Sweetener to taste if desired.

I made up 70g of base to fill the containers listed above - so if you are going to make all 100g you will be able to fill another 3 pots or 2 or 3 tubes

Method:

As shown on the slide show, collect everything you need, measure out the Lip Balm Base, and melt in the microwave in 30 second bursts until it is melted
Add 1 pigment scoop of Pink Mica (if you want a tint to your lips use up to 4 pigment scoopfuls) and stir to remove any dry spots of mica
Pour into the tubes and pot

Ready to use as soon as they are cold!

TIP:  If you experience a "heat tunnel" (which is a little hole in the very centre of the top of the balm), use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt just the surface so that it will fill the little tunnel in the top.  This is caused by pouring when the balm is a little too hot, just the same as when making candles with wax.  I like to try and pour around 62° - 65°C to avoid this, but if you have no thermometer it can be tricky to get exactly the right temperature.
