Body Butter Base

Our Body Butter Base can be warmed to add up to 2% extra additives.  It is best packed in tubs or our Wide Neck Jars and Double Wall Jars, and is a little too thick for tubes.

Our Body Butter Base is rich, but still light and is suitable for use as dry skin treatment, an all over body moisture cream and if lightly applied a night time facial moisturiser.  Containing approximately 20% Sunflower Oil, which has a healthy Vitamin E content, together with a similar amount of rich Shea Butter, it helps moisturise and protect your skin, whilst leaving the skin feeling moisturised and soft.

Suitable for:  All skin types including normal, sensitive and mature skin
Applications:  Body and hands, lightly applied night facial treatment

Colourants – Liquid Lakes, Liquid Dispersions, Micas
Additives:  Botanical and Herbal Extracts – Water and Oil Soluble, Fixed Oils
Amount of additives:  up to 2% - if you want to go higher you will need to trial your formulation and may need to add additional preservative
pH:  5 - 6
Cold or Warm Processable – can be used at room temperature, or warmed to add extracts and scent
Suitable Packaging:  Jars, Tubs, Double Wall Jars and Kilners

Fragrance Notes:  Products used on the face often require as little as 0.25% scent, though this is personal, we strongly recommend a small trial - you can add more, you can’t take it away as the saying goes!  As with other liquid personal care products, the addition of some fragrances and essential oils will thicken or thin the base.  We recommend you make a small test sample to trial your chosen scents.
