This pale, olive green clay comes from clay pits in Brazil and contains high levels of naturally occurring minerals. Green Brazilian Clay is similar in its actions as French Green, and has a similar mineral profile. Its colour is due to the combination of minerals in its make up. It contains Montmorillonite of volcanic origin which offers several properties for the skin. It's primary actions are: reducing oiliness of skin and scalp, no oil feedback effect and Detox. It acts as a tonic, is astringent and stimulating, helping to control excessive oiliness and to treat acne.
As with other green clays, it is recommended for normal to oily skin, though it can be mixed with any white or cream clay to tone down its activity and include it in formulations for all skin types.
Brazilian Clays contain naturally occurring pigments, their colour being achieved by variations in mineral content and oligoelements found in the soil, therefore do not contain any synthetic dyes or pigments.
All our clays are totally natural and can be used alone, or blended together, and you can create gorgeous, naturally coloured soaps using a combination of our clays or just this clay alone.
