This liquid soap represents the traditional soaping method where animal fats (acid) + Potassium Hydroxide (alkali) = liquid soap (Potassium salt). Our liquid soap bases can be used straight from the bottle, or scented with Fragrance and/or Essential Oils of your choice. If adding fragrance directly to the bottle, ensure the Essential Oil or Fragrance is stirred through thoroughly before use.
Try using this base in our Foamy Bottles; they are fabulous for using with potassium based soaps and you save so much!

Scent: 5 - 40 drops Fragrance or Essential Oils per 100ml Liquid Soap, Shampoo & Hair Products (0.25% - 2%)
Colourants: Liquid Pigment Dispersions, Liquid Lakes, Water Soluble Dyes
Additives: Botanical and Herbal Extracts – Water Soluble
Cold Processable: No heating required when adding extracts and scent
Suitable Packaging: Pump Bottles, Boston Bottles and Stubby Shampoo Bottles, Foamy Pumps

Fragrance Notes: Liquid products often require as little as 0.25% scent, though this is personal, we strongly recommend a small trial - you can add more, you can’t take it away as the saying goes! As with other liquid personal care products, the addition of some fragrances and essential oils may thicken or thin. You may also notice clouding, if this is not what you like, use a natural or opaque bottle.
