This new surfactant is fast becoming a firm favourite. - it is so versatile!   We are excited to finally be able to stock Hostapon® SG (which is a paste) - this joins our new SCI Chips, and they are rocking our shampoo world!   Hostapon Paste is a mild co-surfactant made for the personal care products, based on glycine, a naturally occurring amino acid and coconut oil.  Hostapon Paste imparts a rich, creamy foam and contributes to a moisturised after feel in both hair and skin care products.

Providing loads of lather, this paste can be used to make liquid cleansers and shampoos, body wash and more.  Made from sustainable coconut, Hostapon Paste exhibits the rich foam associated with anionics but with the mildness of a non-ionic. In terms of mildness and skin compatibility, it is one of the most gentle surfactants available.  It offers an abundance of thick, rich, creamy foam leaving the skin with a soft, conditioned feel.

As it contributes to skin moisture, skin feel, and adds mildness to your formulation, Hostapon Paste makes elegant and mild shampoos, shower gels, body wash, facial cleansers and other personal care products.  It is also suitable to use in Sugar and Salt Scrubs, so you can remove the PS80 (if you prefer to avoid PEGs) and sub in Hostapon Paste up to 10%.  We recommend a small trial batch if changing from Polysorbate 80.

You can stir small trial batches manually, and use slow speed stick blender for larger batches if required.  Just take care when mixing to avoid bubbles and remember that sometimes time is a better tool than a stick blender!

In hot weather, the paste will clarify a little and with winter temperatures, the finished product will be more opaque and a little thicker.  lends itself to scrubs emulsified foamy scrub, make trial batches and spot test.

Recommended Usage Rate: 1% - 15%
Appearance:  Translucent to slightly cloudy viscous, liquid (temperature dependant)
Temperature:  As Hostapon SG is a paste in cool weather, but more liquid in summer, the product must be stirred before each use
