The fragrance of benzoin is best described as a sweet, spicym Vanilla Balsam. It has a sweet, warm aroma, and has a powdery balsamic, vanilla and cinnamon like finish. It is mainly used in perfumery and being a base note, used in Cold Process Soap and perfumery to ground top and middle notes.
Blends well with: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Coriander, Clove Bud, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit, Helichrysum, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Litsea Cubea, Myrrh, Myrtle, Nutmeg, Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rose, Sandalwood, Tuberose, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang.
