It is very comforting tucking a small fragrant pillow packed with herbs and/or some essential oils under your pillow. Always make sure you only use dried herbs to fill sleep pillows and drip the Essential Oils onto the herbs and mix well.
Make a rectangular "pillow" with light cotton material, and seal with three sides with either washable glue, or sew the edges leaving one narrow end open. Use some off cuts of wadding to padd out the pillow case.
You can either fill the outer case directly with the herbs, or insert one or two Heat Sealable Tea Bags inside the washable cover slip.

HERBAL CAT CUSHION
Don't forget your Purry Friend whilst gathering your herbs! Wormwood helps to keep away fleas and most cats are thoroughly besotted with catnip (though there are a few exceptions). In 1636 John Gerard, Herbalist, noted regarding catnip "..cats are very much delighted herewith, for the smell of it is so pleasant unto them that they rub themselves upon it, and wallow or tumble in it and also feed on the branches and leaves very greatly".
- 50g Catnip
- 15g Wormwood
- 15g Lemon Balm or Lemon Verbena
- 1 tablespoon Mint or Spearmint
- 1 tablespoon Southernwood
Enclose the dried herbs into a nice comfy flat pillow where your feline likes to sleep. Alternatively, the herbs can be enclosed in small sachets and placed in and around under your cat's bedding. Scrunch the pillows/sachets when the scent needs refreshing.
Important: Cats and Essential Oils are not compatible - never use essential oils on cats.
