Luxe Lotion Base

Our Luxe Lotion Base is lighter than our Luxury Moisturiser and Soothing Moisturiser Bases, and can safely hold up to 3% extra additives, including scent.  It can be used “as is” or add your favourite Herbal or Botanical Extracts, colour and Fragrance or Essential Oils.

Our Luxe Lotion Base is light and is easily absorbed making it suitable for use on the face as well as an all over body light moisture lotion.  Containing 15% Sunflower Oil, which has a healthy Vitamin E content, it helps moisturise and regenerate skin, exhibiting an elegant and velvety texture which leaves the skin feeling silky soft.

Suitable for:  All skin types including normal, sensitive and mature skin
Applications:  Facial use, Body Moisturiser

Suitable additives (up to 3% - if you want to go higher you will need to trial your formulation and you may need to add additional preservative):

Colourants: Liquid Lakes, Liquid Dispersions, Micas
Additives:  Botanical and Herbal Extracts – Water and Oil Soluble, Fixed Oils
pH:  5 - 6
Cold Processable: no heating required when adding extracts and scent
Suitable Packaging:  Malibu Tubes, Pump Bottles and Boston Bottles

Fragrance Notes:  Products used on the face often require as little as 0.25% scent, though this is personal, we strongly recommend a small trial - you can add more, you can’t take it away as the saying goes!  As with other liquid personal care products, the addition of some fragrances and essential oils will thicken or thin the base.  We recommend you make a small test sample to trial your chosen scents.
