This soap contains finely ground Oatmeal, for exfoliation, and offers a great moisturising lather. This base is our SFIC White Base, and is chock full of Oatmeal. This base can be sliced as used "as it is" (or sold on your craft stall), unmelted and unscented if scent and colour are not wanted in the finished bars. If you slice the log into 10 x 100g slices, that's only $1.60 each bar, even less if you buy in bulk!
However, if you do wish to add some Essential Oil or Fragrance, our recommendation is to heat VERY SLOWLY over indirect heat, or in a crockpot until "nearly liquid" (with a couple of chunks not yet melted - if you overheat, you'll risk burning the Oatmeal). Stir in the Fragrance and/or Essential Oils and pour into your moulds immediately. The best pour temperature to ensure the oatmeal stays suspended is between 50 - 55°C.
