This project features our new Botanical Scrub Granules and our PALM FREE RC Melt and Pour Soap and natural colourants.
This is a four layer loaf, scented with our delish Pure Honey Fragrance and coloured with various natural colourants. It is suitable for Vegans if you use our Mango Butter Base (or you can stick to to Goatsmilk if preferred) and those who avoid honey and bee products as long as you don't add any "real" honey! This loaf features a diagonal scrubby layer in the centre and a whipped "honeycomb" frosting. THIS is what Home Made Honeycomb looks like. - Spritz with Alcohol to remove any bubbles.
- Allow to set up.
- Once firm, take the Clean Up Tool and scratch the surface of the soap so it's rough, and push it around a little to make undulations.
4. Final Pour = Honeycomb Top layer:
To make Honeycomb Frosting:
- 200g PF Mango Butter Melt and Pour Soap
- 20g Coco-Olive Liquid Soap
- 5ml (1 teaspoon) Olive Leaf Extract
- ½ to ¾ tsp Pashmina Mica and about 5ml of Rooibos infusion - eye balling the colour is fine!
- Melt the diced PF Mango Butter Base to 70°C - our Palm Free Melt and Pour Soap sets up at 55 - 60°C.
- Start beating at 70°C, and aim to pour at 65°C - so you can see it's a tight window to get the homemade honeycomb look. If you allow it to cool too much, just give it a quick burst in the microwave to remelt and resume beating until it's pourable but has some body.
- Add the colourants as per the slideshow, colour to your preference.
- Spritz the top of the loaf liberally with alcohol and quickly pour over the surface. If there are any little spots or holes, remelt the left over whipped soap and fill any little holes.
- Allow to set up overnight (place a cover over it if it's damp or humid weather).
- Slice and wrap as usual!
If using the trolley bundle: You will have left over ingredients for another project.
