This is a fruity, tropical scrub that leaves the skin feeling smooth and polished.
There is no preservative in this scrub, so if you are concerned about water being introduced into the scrub during use, we recommend the addition of 1% Nipaguard SCV.
Ingredients:
450g Caster or Regular White Sugar
10g (1 – 2 teaspoons) Orange Jojoba Beads (or you could use half Poppy Seeds for a marked contrast in colour)
2 Pigment Scoops (1/8th teaspoon) Jaffa Cake or Tangelo Mica
Extract (Oil Soluble) 1.5 oz.
5g/ml Mandarin Mango Fragrance Oil
5 x 120ml 4 oz. Bail Jars
Equipment:
1 x 1.5 Litre Pyrex jug or large bowl
1 x 250ml glass beaker or small bowl
Spatulas, spoons, droppers
Digital scales (preferable but regular will suffice)
Dropper or Pipette
Method:
- Place the sugar, mica powder, Jojoba Beads (and Poppy Seeds if using) into the large bowl and stir with spoon or spatula to combine well.
- Now add Extract and Fragrance and stir through well.
- Spoon into the Scrub Jars, seal and label. As there is no antioxidant or preservative in this product (we do not anticipate moisture being introduced into the jar of soak) it is best used within 3 – 6 months of making.
To Use: Moisten the skin, scrub in a circular motion and rinse. Moisturise as usual.
