Serums are used very sparingly, around the eyes and on the face, and deliver concentrated nutrients which are most easily dispensed using an Airless Treatment Pump as they dispense measured, small quantities of product without mess and waste. For travel or smaller quantities, our glass Amber Bottle with an Eye Dropper is useful.
These basic starter formulas, using rich oils can used as below, or you can include other nutrients and vitamins as long as they are oil based. These can also be adapted to be Body Oils, simply increase the fixed oils (the more economical ones that aren't so rich) such as the Fractionated Coconut Oil, Avocado, Apricot Kernel, Camellia Oil, or include some Macadamia or Sweet Almond Oil.
I tend to avoid Fragrance and Essential Oils in my formulas for use around the eye area, but this is personal choice. However, if my skin is feeling a bit tired and dry and I want to use all over my face, I include Rose Absolute 3% with a touch of Frangipani 10% and a drop of Sandalwood Essential Oil too.
I like to use Airless Treatment Pumps for anhydrous serums as they dispense a small, exact amount and there is no drip or mess.
These formulas make 100g, but if you only want to make enough just for yourself, measure accurately and halve or quarter the amounts.
